This is the third incident on my car with the AdBlue system malfunctioning on fluid fill level with no code stored and requiring a reset procedure per this tech tip. The VCDS can be very useful, and can be used to modify some settings you may be interested in. If this is the only or last VW/AUDI you plan to own, skip the VCDS and hook up with a local GURU that has it. Performed procedure with scan tool to reset AdBlue Fill Level. TDI 2013 Passat SEL Premium 5 VCDS is worth many times the 250 it costs. Previous report (s): November 2013, April 2014, September. Found Tech Tip 26-12-02 to perform reset procedure. The Continental tires looked neweven with almost 25,000 miles on thembut they remained noisy on concrete surfaces. Service tech and invoice indicates: "Scan for codes, no codes stored. I had to drop my car off for the heatercore replacement anyway, so the dealer added resetting the AdBlue system to the visit. I looked for codes, and found none, the dealer later confirmed this also. ![]() 2006 Jettas, shadow blue & platinum, TDI, auto, Feb 2, 2013. ![]() I did top it off with a little DEF, but the system still would not reset. 0T Quattro 2009 A4 Avant Quattro 2013-2014 A4 Premium 2013-2014 A4. When this occurred Wednesday morning last week, the DEF tank was still well over half full. I top my AdBlue tank off to full with every oil change and have never added more than a gallon or so. No warnings at 1,500 miles, or less, then at 200 miles, the warning, wrench and CEL lit up my dash, just like Nord. ![]()
